My practice is rooted in curiosity and my passion to empower my patients. I have 12 years of experience working with patients with chronic conditions especially those involving the spine, pelvis (pelvic floor included!), and hips.
The mission of Balance Portland is to increase awareness of pelvic floor rehabilitation through education and assessment. Chronic orthopedic issues often have a pelvic floor component that has been left out of the equation. And, chronic pelvic floor issues often have an orthopedic issue that is unresolved. My approach is designed to inspire and empower you to make the changes you need to meet your goals. I have a doctorate in physical therapy from UCSF and San Francisco State University's joint program. I am trained in Functional Manual Therapy (FMT) through the Institute of Physical Art and visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute. I am also a movement expert working through a very biomechanical lens. My holistic approach is informed by my personal experiences with injury and physical rehabilitation. |
