My practice is rooted in curiosity and my passion to empower my patients. I have 13 years of experience working with patients with chronic conditions especially those involving the spine, pelvis (pelvic floor included!), and hips.
The mission of Balance Portland is to inspire you to understand the messages of your body. Chronic orthopedic issues leave patterns in the body. My job is to understand those patterns and educate you about them--how to interrupt them, accept them, and manage them until they no longer need much love and attention. My approach is designed to enable you to make the changes you need to meet your goals. I have a doctorate in physical therapy from UCSF and San Francisco State University's joint program. I am trained in Functional Manual Therapy (FMT) through the Institute of Physical Art and visceral manipulation through the Barral Institute. I am also a movement expert working through a very biomechanical lens. My holistic approach is informed by my personal experiences with injury and physical rehabilitation. |
